Privacy Policy
How Markitera Brand Solutions collects, uses, and protects your information — including the Google and Meta account data shown in our client portal.
Effective August 31, 2026
Who we are
Markitera Brand Solutions (“Markitera,” “we,” “us”) is a marketing agency based at 612 Triplett Street, Owensboro, KY 42303. You can reach us at sales@markitera.com or 270-929-0898.
This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It covers two things: this website, and the client portal we provide to businesses that work with us.
Information we collect
When you contact us
Our contact form asks for your name, business name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in, and your message. That information is emailed to our team so we can reply. It is not added to a marketing list, and we do not sell it.
When you have a client portal account
If you become a client, we create an account for you. It holds your name, business name, email address, and password (stored as a cryptographic hash, never as readable text). Depending on the work we do together, your account may also hold your phone number, business address, a profile picture, invoices, uploaded files, support tickets, and project tasks.
When you connect a marketing account
The portal can connect to your Google and Meta accounts so your marketing results appear in one dashboard. You choose whether to connect them, and you choose which properties, pages, and locations to share. This is described in detail below.
Automatically
Our web host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses and the pages requested. The portal sets one session cookie so it can keep you signed in, and records an activity log of significant actions in your account (for example, connecting an account or downloading a file) together with the IP address the action came from. That log exists for security and support.
What we do not do: this website runs no analytics, advertising, or behavioral tracking scripts. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, and no cross-site tracking on it. Our fonts are served from our own server rather than a font network. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Respond to enquiries and prepare proposals
- Deliver the marketing services you have engaged us for
- Operate your portal account, including reporting, invoices, files, and support
- Display your marketing results in your dashboard and reports
- Keep accounts secure, investigate problems, and meet our legal and accounting obligations
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not use data from your connected Google or Meta accounts for anything other than producing your own reporting.
Google account data
If you connect a Google account, we ask only for read-only access to the specific services your reporting needs:
- Search Console — clicks, impressions, search queries, and pages for the property you select
- Analytics (GA4) — visitors, sessions, traffic sources, and top pages for the property you select
- Business Profile — views, calls, direction requests, and website clicks for the listing you select
- Basic profile — your email address, so we can show which account is connected
We store the access tokens Google issues in encrypted form, and we use them only to retrieve the statistics shown in your portal. We never post, change, or delete anything in your Google account, and we cannot see your Google password.
Limited Use disclosure. Markitera’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically: we use Google user data only to provide and improve the reporting features you see in your portal; we do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide those features, for security purposes, or to comply with the law; we do not use it for advertising; and no human reads it except with your permission, for security purposes, to comply with the law, or where the data is aggregated and anonymized.
You can disconnect at any time from your portal dashboard, or revoke our access directly at your Google account permissions page. Disconnecting stops any further data being retrieved.
Facebook and Instagram data
If you connect a Meta account, we ask for read-only access to the business page you select, and to the Instagram business account linked to it, so we can show:
- Page followers, reach, views, and engagement
- Recent posts with their like, comment, and share counts
- Instagram followers, reach, and profile views
When you connect, Meta asks you to choose which pages we may access — we only receive the ones you select. We store the access tokens in encrypted form and use them solely to retrieve the statistics shown in your portal. We never post, comment, message, or advertise on your behalf, and we cannot see your Facebook password or your personal profile activity.
You can disconnect at any time from your portal dashboard, or remove our access under Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations in your Facebook account.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own.
The client portal sets one essential cookie, used to keep you signed in during your session. It is marked HttpOnly and Secure, and it carries no tracking information. You cannot turn it off and still use the portal, because it is what keeps you logged in.
Some pages embed videos from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). If you play a video, YouTube may set cookies of its own under Google’s privacy policy. Simply loading the page does not start playback.
Who else is involved
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run our business, and only to the extent required:
- Our web host, which stores this website, the portal, and its database
- Google and Meta, when you connect those accounts and we request your statistics
- Email delivery, when contact form submissions and portal notifications are sent
- A content delivery network and Google Fonts, which serve some styling and font files used by the portal interface, meaning your browser contacts those services when you use the portal
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.
How long we keep it
We keep client account information and the reporting history in your portal for as long as you are a client, and afterwards for as long as we need it for legitimate business, accounting, or legal reasons.
Contact form enquiries live in our email, and we keep them for as long as they are useful for following up.
Connected-account tokens are deleted when you disconnect the account or when your portal account is deleted. Security and activity logs are kept for a limited period and then cleared.
How we protect it
The website and portal are served over HTTPS. Portal passwords are stored as one-way cryptographic hashes, so nobody at Markitera can read them. Access tokens for your Google and Meta accounts are encrypted before they are stored. Access to client data is limited to Markitera staff who need it to do their work, and significant account actions are logged.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach ever affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.
Your choices and rights
You can, at any time:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law
- Disconnect any connected Google or Meta account
- Ask us to stop emailing you about anything other than your active services
Email sales@markitera.com and we will respond. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; tell us and we will honour them.
Deleting your data
To have your data removed, email sales@markitera.com from the address on your account with the subject Data deletion request, or call us at 270-929-0898.
We will confirm your identity, then delete your portal account, the marketing statistics we have stored for you, any files you uploaded, and the access tokens for your connected accounts. We will confirm when it is done. Records we are legally required to keep, such as invoices for tax purposes, are retained for the period the law requires and nothing more.
You can also cut off access yourself at any time without contacting us, by revoking Markitera at your Google permissions page or under Business integrations in your Facebook settings.
Children
Our services are for businesses. This website and the portal are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change. The effective date at the top of the page always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects how we handle client data, we will tell portal clients directly rather than relying on you to notice.
